features in comic launch - A
new comic called RESPECT, featuring Jonny Longlife,
was launched earlier this year. The comic features
several teenagers and Jonny casting his eye over
their activities. The comic is available in Secondary
schools across South Tyneside. |

Every year thousands of people
enjoy themselves taking part in a range of activities that
make them happier, healthier and help them to live longer.
Now South Tyneside Council is keen to spread
that message even further.
‘Let’s do it’ is a new
initiative bringing together a wide range of activities in
leisure centres, libraries, parks and open spaces right across
the Borough.

| Plant a
Promise - St
Gregory's School in South Shields launched the DAT's Plant a
Promise' on May 23. A thousand balloons, all with sunflower
seeds inside them, were launched to celebrated the pupils' promises
to make a difference. To register to post your promise click
