Founded by Daniel Chaganis (6th Dan) in 1964, one of the original star students of Master Tatsuo Suzuki , the senior student of the Wado Ryu founder Hironori Ohtsuka.
South Shields Wado Kai is the longest running Karate Club in the North of England.
The club is held three nights per week at the Masonic Hall behind ADSA in South Shields town centre, and new students are always welcome.
Students will learn the traditional forms of Karate along with the freestyle application of these techniques for ‘on the street’ defence. Training sessions consist of traditional basic exercise training, freestyle training, Kata, pad work, stretching and sparing (should you want too).
