Getting Healthy & Staying Safe

If you feel light headed or ill at any time when you are exercising, STOP!

Don't push yourself too much, not everybody can exercise for the same lengths of time or at the same pace!

Make sure that you drink plenty of water when you exercise, the more exercise you do the more water your body will need.

If you need medication (for diabetes or asthma) make sure you have it nearby during and after your exercising!

When jogging at night ensure you wear clothes that can be seen by motorists, a florescent top would be ideal.

If you go out on your bike make sure you are wearing a helmet and have the correct lighting so that motorists can clearly see you.

Although exercise is important it is more important to BE SAFE! If it is possible you should always go exercising in an area which is familiar to you, when it is day light and always make sure that somebody knows where you are going.
