Did you know that it is illegal for anybody under the age of 18 to buy a butane gas lighter refill and that its also illegal for anyone under 18 to be sold solvents if the shopkeeper thinks they will be used illegally.
Most users are between 11 and 16 years old and last year 70 people died as a result of solvent abuse like glue sniffing and misuse of lighter refills, the youngest death being a 9 year old boy.
Many people dont realise how dangerous solvents and gas lighter refills are, at best you vomit and have blackouts and at worst you could die from heart problems, even if its your first time. The long term effects include damage to your brain, liver and kidneys.
